When I was a little girl, I remember helping my abuelita put on and take off her jewelry. It was our special ritual — a quiet moment we shared. I vividly recall counting 19 bracelets on her wrist, completely mesmerized, even though I had grown up surrounded by her dazzling collection. She wore each piece with such effortless style, and to me, they weren’t just accessories — they were part of who she was.

My greatest dream as a child was to one day inherit all her treasures, the ones she so lovingly combined to reflect her spirit.

It was my grandmother who passed on to me a deep love for jewelry, and the art of making it by hand. She taught me to notice the little things — the texture of a stone, the weight of a clasp, the way colors speak to each other. Thanks to her, I discovered a desire to create jewelry that carries emotion — that tells a story and feels right for the moment it lives in.

Though she is no longer with us, whenever I picture her, she’s still there — perfectly put together, her jewelry sparkling as naturally as her presence. And now that I’m older, all I wish for is to carry her essence with me — to become the kind of woman she was.

That lifelong love for jewelry, intertwined with the peace I find by the sea, is what inspired Paloma’s Pearl & Stone. I created it so others, too, could find pieces that reflect their beauty — and make them feel more like themselves than ever before.
